Hindu medicine, known as ayurveda, the science of life, has a highly developed system of practical ethics derived from the Hindu principles of nonhurtfulness, the sanctity of all life, the existence of the soul separate from the body and a willingness to accept lifes circumstances as defined by ones karma and dharma.
