July 2017 Monthly News Video

Kauai's Hindu Monastery brings you news from June, 2017, including: Vaikasi Visakam On June 7th the aadheenam's swamis, yogis and sadhaka celebrated Vaikasi Visakam with an abhishekam to Lord Murugan in Kadavul Temple. Natyam Dayanatha was the event's head pujari, offering milk, yogurt, honey, sandalwood, rosewater and more to this great God of kundalini and advanced yogic practices.

Boston On June 22 Acharya Arumuganathaswami and Natyam Jayanatha attended the World History Association's 26th annual Conference in Boston. They were part of a panel discussion on "India in World Civilizations: Problems of Interpretation and the Reconstruction of an Authentic Narrative." In plain English, that means overcoming the last 200 years of European and American dominance, at the academic level, in the field of Indian history and Hindu religion and allowing Hindus to have a say. The two monks also visited several Hindu Temples in the greater Boston area.

Sri Lanka Also this month, Sannayasin Yoginathaswami and Yogi Adinatha traveled to the island of Sri Lanka for two weeks. While there they followed the footsteps of our dear Gurudeva, visiting the many holy places associated with our Guru Parampara and working out some details of the upcoming Innersearch 2018 travel-study program.
