Which Yoga Should I Follow? - Publisher's Desk

Satguru Bodhinatha Veylanswami reads his editorial from the Jul/Aug/Sep 2012 edition of Hinduism Today magazine. In this edition Bodhinatha focuses on the four main types of yoga, namely, Kama yoga, Bhakti Yoga, Raja Yoga and Jnana Yoga, which both individually and collectively leads to spiritual unfoldment and ultimately to moksha, when performed properly. Bodhinatha further explains that if we are unsure as to which yoga to choose, always begin with Karma and Bhakti yoga which are aimed at purifying the mind and refining the qualities of the soul.

Go on a pilgrimage once a year, read scriptures daily, perform puja daily, go to the temple at least once a week, if not more often--fulfill these disciplines, known as the pancha nitya karmas. This is the basic Saiva Siddhanta sadhana.
